Happy New Year! Challenge #3 & Photo Prompt

I recently ran across a new website that offered a variety of wonderful digital findings.  This photo is from that site and I wrote to Kevin King, the owner of this photo to ask his permission to use it here.  His joyful reply was "Of Course!  Use them all if you want!" and he extended that invitation to all of you.  He has only a few photos on his website but he also has some wonderful custom fonts waiting for you!
As for the photo prompt, for some reason the term "Earth Bound" has stayed with me for the past couple of weeks and the more I think about this prompt, the more ideas come to me.  I hope it inspires you as well.
I also wrote up a new tutorial today, Chroma Negative.  Hope you enjoy it, it is a technique that can be used for a variety of images and photos.  The link is in the sidebar-#4 Tutorial.  Have fun!

  1. Happy New Year everyone!

Cindy, what is the metal framework on the side of the building? Is it a bracket for a gate or what?

  2. I have no idea what it is, but I removed it in my final version because I found it slightly distracting myself.

I have to say this was a tough one for me and I almost gave up after having several bloopers. This was my final try and I think it finally gelled into something I would feel good about sharing. AND this is why it's called a challenge! LOL
